These figures are for illustrative purposes only. They are projections based on the data you enter, and are intended solely to give you a reasonable idea how much your pension will be at retirement. If you are planning to retire within the next two years, please contact the Nova Scotia Pension Agency for a more precise estimate.

This calculator is designed to work best for retirements which occur at school year end. For calculation purposes, school year end is assumed to be July 31. Therefore, if you are planning to retire effective June 30, please enter July 31 as your expected retirement date.

Your estimated pension at retirement is based on the assumption that you will qualify for an unreduced pension. Therefore, if you enter an expected date of retirement which is earlier than the date at which you will first qualify for an unreduced pension, the estimate will be overstated. For the earliest date at which you will qualify for an unreduced pension, please refer to your most recent annual statement. (Please note that this date assumes you will work full-time and will not purchase any additional service between now and retirement.)

The estimated pension you will receive at age 65 does not reflect the impact of any indexing that will be credited between retirement and age 65.
