Dr. Toyin Akindoju is currently an Executive Director with the Nova Scotia Department of Finance and Treasury Board, supporting the Department of Community Services. Preceding her government service, Toyin worked in the private sector in Nigeria and Canada. She joined the Nova Scotia Public Service in 2007, has over three decades of professional financial management experience, and has held various positions in strategic leadership roles.
Toyin is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Mary’s University and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University.
Toyin was appointed to the Teachers’ Pension Plan Trustee Inc. effective January 1, 2023.
